Default Crome

I noticed the uberdata post, however I would love to know more about crome. Uberdata development is too questionable.. Thanks for any inputs..

Yes, I was able to install it and load bin files. However a friend received a illegal operation error from windows. I am assuming that it has a couple of bugs that need to be worked out in order to be compatible with general PC's. I love the look of crome, a simple VB graphic with an Excel format.. Nice..

Ok, here's what I ran into while trying to tune my car. Uberdata requires for the C51 and C52 locations on the ecu to be jumped in order for the ECU to recognize the program. I find this odd because I have a chipped ecu that does not require for those to be jumped. When I program a chip using Chrome it works, when I use Uberdata the car throws a check engine light. Does anyone know the reason why Uberdata requires these two locations to be jumped?

I am not sure how relevant this is, but:
I have those in place (c51/52) on my primary ECU. Uberdata runs perfectly, I cannot get Crome to run properly(steady CEL). Maybe I will chip my spare ECU w/o the c51/52 and see if I can get Crome to work...
Just found it curious that you dont have those, and Crome works, uber doesnt..

Yea I was able to get rid of the cel by using a default skunk bin that came with the ecu. It seems as if whatever they used to program the skunk will work with crome. I will post the skumk program tonight on my site under downloads..

Depending on what version of Windows youre running there are 2 additional things that may need to be installed to get Crome to run.
1) MS Scripting
2) Some script control thingy

I had to install both to get Crome to run opn my Win 95 & Win 98 PC's.

Crome is installed with no issues and I burning roms, it's just that if I try to add boost option to the default skunk program the car won't start, and it also will throw a check engine light when I use any other base map other than the Skunk program. I posted the bin that works if you want to take a look at it..
http://clubboost.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17 at the bottom of the page is the bin that I used to get the car running..

Someone just released a Crome plugin to add boost to a P30 ROM. Your Skunk program looks like it is based on a P30 ROM. Are you using that plugin?
Youre running an Turbocharged LS right? Why not use a P72 boosted ROM?

Yes the map is based on a P30. I found the java script that added the boost table, however as soon as I altered the boost table the car will no longer start. That's when I use the same base map without editing anything other than the boosyt portions. I am running an LS/GSR (Vtec) the ECU is a P28, the car was originally OBD-2. Thanks T-RO for the reply, any other suggestions?
