Crazy Tapping Issue Please help

i just pulled the pistons they look just fine to me ?? i wish i had a digi cam so i could show you but there were no evident cracks, i still am stumped on the tapping/ knocking noise i heard ? wow! the rings are all intack too.

So does this mean this pistons is garbage and causes you to lose compression? I've seen pistons where the wrist pin is deeper into the piston. This is used for people who want to run longer rods. (Couldnt find a better pic but this will explain what I'm saying)

yeah it was my ring lands .... i dropped the piston by accident today and the ring land that was broke fell off, i looked at that piston like 20 times and never saw it until today
what causes that to happen ?

Detonation. Cracked ringlands can sometimes by difficult to find is the fractures are hairline but the symptoms are always the same, loss of compression and excessive blow-by.
