Default Crap, have a problem...

Hey guys, I'm installing my custom turbo kit tomorrow morning (woohoo) but I will have to run open DP for like a week until the 3" exhaust from the group buy ships out. How am I going to pull this off without having anything to screw my secondary o2 sensor into? Will my car run fine with that CEL on or what?

use the stock exhaust and get a muffler repair kit from pep=boys and use that as a "bridge" between the dp and your stock exhaust..

your gonna hate a week of open dp not to mention possible tickets and pissed off neighbors..

crap, the end of my downpipe is cut off right after the o2 bung...there's not enough left over after the bung to attach to another pipe without welding

stick a pipe insdie of the donwpipe and inside of your stock exhaust and calmp both sides down. Its going to hinder performance but it will get you around town.

i know lots of people including myself that drive around houston all the time with open downpipes.. cops dont care.. they have other things to do.. anyway if you DO get a ticket, its a fix it.. by that time your exhaust should be there and youll be fine.. just let the o2 sensor hang there or attach it to something.. it needs to be connected though but it doesn't really matter what it reads in the short term

i ran open downpipe all last week... talk about loud as hell. but it sounds MEAN as hell also. cops usually wont **** with you, if they do tell them that last night you had your car on jackstands and when you woke up someone STOLE your exhaust. when they ask if you reported it say no becuase it was a stock exhaust and with a 500 deductable you would lose money in the long run plus have a higher insurance premium. then tell them you were on the way to a muffler station to have a new one made then you got pulled over.
