Default Cracked manifold...Help!

I found a crack between the #2 and #3 cylinders on my exhuast manifold and wanted to know if this is fixable? If so, where would I take it? Welding shop, perfomance shop? Does anyone recommend a shop?

Also, are there any dangers in driving the car with the crack? The crack looks to be 2-3 inches long.

FYI - I have a Rev Hard kit.

Thanks

How long have you had that manifold for?

Your best bet is to just buy a new manifold. because it'll most likely re-crack if you get it welded.

You can get it rewelded, I have welded a few of them. You have to grind out the crack and then weld it useing a nickle based rod so it will bond with the cast iron. Or another cheaper way to grind it out and braze it shut with brass, but I don't think it will hold up as well.

You can buy aluminum weld and a blow torch at the hardware store and fix it yourself.

just weld it up dude.. it should hold up as long as you get it done somewhere that can do a proper job.. it *will* crack again sometime in the future.. but I think this would be a cheaper alternative to buying a new manifold.. keep in mind that you can't weld up the cracks forever so sooner or later you will have to get the manifold changed

I dont think aluminum weld will work on the cast iron manifold. My friend usually uses stainless rod to weld cast iron because of it's high nickel content.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'll probably just get it welded.
