Oil sandwich would be the best thing to do, but if you find a good welder who does cast aluminum, you could also re-tap it to a different size. I'd go with a 1/4" NPT plug that uses an o-ring too, then put the 1/8" BSPT thread inside of it. I do that for my oil dist. blocks, except I'm going into brass, so no o-ring is needed (I just crank it).

Re: (HiProfile)
should be easily fixed... hell if you wanted to i bet if you cleaned it up good and jb welded that piece on tehre and filled the hole shut you could just use a sandwich adapter and be done with it for cheap

Re: (coptzer)
it's repairable but i wouldn't just run a bead of weld around the crack. take it to a good fab shop who knows how to get the weld all the way through it. then drill and tap.

Re: (gogunkergorilla)
well i have a sandwich, but the 2 ports are taken for my vtec feed and turbo feed. out of that hole i had my oe oil pressure and my autometer oil pressure gauge.
honestly i dont care if i can use that as a port anymore, just so long as it doesnt leak. im really trying to not take the block completely apart as im tired of buying pistons and rings. there is a plug on the back of the oil pump that im considering tapping a 1/8 into the middle of and using that.

haha i should only be so lucky. its an 84mm aebs sleeve b18a block. ******* thing has 195 perfect compression and 10-12% leakdown too, so yeah im not a happy person right now

Re: (thelate1)
This happened to a buddy of mine. I just tapped it deeper with a 1/8 npt tap and locktited a pipe plug in there and used a sandwich adapter for the switch. Did this about 2 years ago and still holding strong. If i remember right i had to grind the starter portion off the tap to get it to go deep enough and not interfere with the oil galley.
