CP Piston Information
Anyone have some technical information regarding these pistons.
Any technical comparisons between the major brands like Weisco, JE, etc..,
Thanks in advance,
Len

i had JE and they got fucked up, so now i'm gonna give CP a shot. Talked to a shop i trust and he said CP are supposed to be the best on the market right now. So i figured i'd try em out. For shelf pistons their about $495 and for custom ones their about $560 (assuming its for a import motor)

I appreciate the reviews and replies,
But does anyone have solid technical specifications on it?
Material used? Design features? Manufacturing tolerances? Manufacturing process?
Anything?

I have to tell you guys this thread is upsetting me. Every new product I bring to this board, CP Pistons, ACL Bearings, PWR Intercoolers and Radiators, discounted Quaifes, etc. people come along and match prices or beat prices by $5. How many of these guys give you the tech support to help you? How many guys bust their *** to get you a replacement ring you bent? All this price whoreing is getting old. The problem is when guys figure out they are not making any money by doing this, they quit. Then you can go to the manufacturer and pay full price. Keep it up.
This are the parts I bought from Earl:
manley rods and pistons: $1150
acl bearings: $120
sleeve block: $950
Best customer service and a nicest guy to meet: priceless

I agree 100% earl is great, even if other guys can match or beat - DO they ALWAYS answer PM's that same day and give you honest advice like a friend, not a salesman.
On that note - Earl, I will buy the LSD as soon as my check comes

I heard that CP was started by former JE Owners.employees? Maybe that was a rumor...dont hold me to it.
I know they look bad *** and they are goin into my motor tomorrow. Hope they hold up to boost well

CP was started by 3 brothers who were the real brains at JE. CP only hires people with years of experience in the piston industry. Everyone seems to know who the real sharp guys are in the piston field and CP hires them.
