is it normal for the check engine light to come on on a basic 5 pound turbo set up on a b16 only running a vortech fmu, is an apexi v-afc or other electronic fmu the answer to the vaccum problems? please help.

Are you using a check valve of sorts...missing link or something? I'm guessing your ecu is freaking because it's seeing boost...

You gotta put something in there to keep the ecu from seeing the boost. VAFC, check valves, whatever you decide, they all work, but have downsides.
