Default Cooler Air mean more HP????????

I was thinking of this idea all week if heat is the enemy of any turbo charged application and the compression of air causes heat then this aspect should be a major contributor to this problem right.....? ok so thats why we have an intercooler fine no problem but what if we could get that air even cooler what what that mean? what if one installed and after cooler a smaller intercooler inline the charge piping say just before the blow off valve...what benifits could be reaped from this if any....?

How about running your car in the artic. You'd get the cold air year round

The cold air just makes the air denser which means more oxygen available to burn with the hydrocarbons. More fuel with more oxygen creates more power.

So you want to add another intercooler right after your other intercooler? So you would have the pipe comping off your compressor going to your first intercooler then to another pipe attached to your 2nd intercooler, then that pipe going to your throttle body. This intercooler would have to be placed in your engine bay or fender well where no air could flow easily. I really dont see this helping. With a theory like this there would be no difference in just making your intercooler larger.

As stated above, meth/alcohol injection is another alternatve or spray nitrous over your intercooler (this usually gains 15hp at most).

I think you should think for another week

What if you put an intercooler BEFORE the turbo? Like whoa.

wat if you used a air-air IC then put a water-air IC after that and run the AC lines to the water-air and you'll get the coldest air ever!!!

Awesome

What if I put an intercooler in my exhaust to reduce the back pressure? Triple intercoolers FTW

Lower ambient temps will make the fmic a bit more effective, and lower IAT's end up making more power. Unless you have an extremely high IAT's, a 2nd intercooler won't do any good, as the current one is more than enough. All it will do is add more restriction.

Now go have a beer before your head explodes. Or...were you dringing when you posted this?

Want lower IAT's? It's called an air/water intercooler, and ice water.

Sub-ambient inlet temps @ 35 pounds of boost with an air/water FTW!
