Converting To External Wastegate. How to block hole?
Ive got a t3 .60/.63 snail, havent put it on yet but Im going to be runing a tial 38mm external gate. Now I have to plug this quarter sized hole right?
Do I need to buy a new downpipe or is there some sort of plate that goes inbetween the exhaust housing and the downpipe?
Hoping for someone to go over it visually with me
thanks

The internal wastegate should have a flapper door. Just close the door and tack weld it in that position. You can also lock it shut from the outside (using the flapper door arm).

nevermind, ittl work perfect
Im just gonna cut off the little flapper and weld it to my exhaust housing
Dont see why it wouldnt work
I dont wanna just weld the door shut because I want to get rid of as much clutter as possible and the exhaust housing Im using is from the same size turbo, but different units, so I wanna be sure its sealed
Thanks guys
