Congrats to Newt Dawg (Vance)!!!!! 10 Second Single Cam - 100% street car!!!
Congrats to Vance and crew for making their first 10 second pass tonight at Maryland International Raceway. this car is 100% streetable, and one of the cleanest crx's around. if he told you how long ago the car was painted, and how good it still looks, you wouldnt believe him.
it wasnt too long ago that Vance told me that he wanted to have an 11 second car. things have come a long way since then!!
the car still has a lot left in it......the suspension is squatting very very hard, and the gearing in the trans doesnt allow for a very efficient 1-2 shift......but with some tweaking here and there the car should drop some ET for sure. im sure with just some head work/manifold(s) work, the car has some power left in it too. the car is running the least amount of ignition timing possible to still pull clean. a huge to Brad Brooks for another AEM tune done here at Tempest Racing.
im very excited to be a part of this car and can't wait to watch it keep progressing! video's and pictures should be up a little later tonight!

Thanks guy's.. I made a small video to share. We are pleased with the crx and what it's done. The crx was basically built for a test and tune car. Everyone I know told me that there was no way I could build a 10 second sohc street car. I guess they were wrong. lol
Thank's jenny for the awsome pictures you took last night.
