Default compressor fan chipped

My friend has a super 16G turbo and we took his intake off to get to something below it when we noticed that the first row of compressor fan blades were all chipped and 2 were broken in half but the peices were nowhere to be found. The turbo seems to be running fine though. Any ideas? I know this can't be good.

Pretend you opened up your hood one day, and saw a huge crack across the entire front of your engine block from flywheel to crank pully. Say no coolant you could tell was coming from it, and you couldn't readily see any problems other than that there's a huge crack in the outer block...whatever you would do in that situation is probably what you're going to do in this one...

i bet you the engine has either ingeted the unseen portions of the compressor wheel, or they are stuck in an intercooler.
