Compression Test #'s
I did a compression test on my jdm 95 gsr motor and the numbers came out like this 220/230/220/215. Do these numbers look right if not what could be the problem? Motor has about 30,000-40,000 miles on it.
it runs okay but when I take it out of gear and start to stop the idle drops really low and once in awhile it'll kill the car but I'll start right back up again. Is there away for me to make my compression read out a little better then wat I'm seeing now?
was that a wet compression test or dry?? wet should give you a better reading and if it does that means ur rings arent the greatest ..
a wet compression test is when you put a teaspoon (about 15ml)of oil into each cylinder before testing it ... hope this helps..

your compression looks good. it's only off by 5-10. not something to be really concerned about. if your car is sometimes dropping the idle too low and killin the car, try checking your timing and maybe change out your spark plugs or spark plug wires.
