Default Compression Question

Well My setup was told to me as I bought the car as having 12:1 compression and stock GSR rods. GSR block and B16 head. Head is Stock. We did a compression test and we got 240 all across the board. My friend was telling me to ask you guys if 240 across the board meant that it has those 12:1 pistons or is this motors block completely stock? I need help with this question ASAP because I am going to boost by the end of the week thanks

Stock rods...? Trust me stock rods are risky and yah 240 should be high compresion pistons. I would say pool the head out, put stronger rods and low comprecion pistons and I would recomand to put new rod bearings, new obd2 oil pump, oem or stronger timing belt and ARP or Eagle head studs. Thats the at leas the right way to go other wise waste of money and time, alot of time. Good luck.

And 7lbs of boost is waste of money.

240 is pretty high, could very well be 12:1. 12:1 is really high for a boosted application. You'll have to run low boost like 5psi
