i was cruising down the highway not accelerating of anything and i got this code. i dont think i wasnt detonating either. My question is the knock sensor im using is from an h22 i think the guy said. does it work the same as a b18c1??? because i got this code does it mean it was detonating, of does it mean there is a problem with the sensor???

problem with the sensor or wiring. The honda manual has a diagnostic procedure for this, try to find it and run it. On a side note, you did torque it exactly to spec right?

no man, i didnt torque it. ****, id dint think you had to. its going to be a bitch to get a torque wrence in there too. any idea what the spec is??

im having the same problem with mine , mines like 2 months old and it poped again . i dont get why!

 

oh and ill reset my codes right and it wont pop untill i get on it , do that means its the sensor right?

it's like 22ftlbs I think and yes it does suck if you don't have a small 3/8" wrench. That wouldent set the code but it's most definatly the right way to do it.
I wonder if there is a way to disable the KS without setting the code... humm, what about unchecking the box in uberdata?

 

well i have hondata and i know i can disable it, but does the motor need it to run under some condtions???
