code 23 hondata s300 problems
i just finished installing rc440's and a s300 on my jrsc d16y8. as soon as i start the car it throws a code 23, knock sensor. if a clear it, it comes right back on even when ideling. i am using a base map that i downloaded from hondata for a jrsc d16 w/ 12ohm 440's. i thought the car would at least idle w/o issues. i'm bringing it to the dyno asap but now i am wondering if it is safe to drive??? any ideas???

it was disabled on the base map.. do i really want to disable it? i thought it was a safety feature, thats why i enabled it...

i never had any cel's until now. i have been running the jrsc with the fmu crap for 3 years w/o one CEL. just a little concerned... what could cause this? my ignition timing? any over thoughts???

i think so. it's a 2000 civic ex with the stock d16y8. it didn't throw this code until i installed the hondata.

P28s don't have a knock sensor bord. Disable it or add knock capability to the board, harness, and motor.

I told you in post 2 what to do.
I guess I should have told you why since Hondata = OBD1 conversion.
My bad.
