Default Clutch, Exedy vs. Tilton????

Question about clutches. I'd like to get some opinions from people who've driven with these. I've been looking at the Exedy twin disc with light weight fly wheel. Any one have experience with this? Also what about the tilton one on wired speed's web site? Any one have experience with those? They seem a bit cheaper than the exedy. Any advice would be appreciated.

Frist off, their both nice clutches. But the real question is what kind of power are you lookin to make? What size slick are u gonna run? You may not even need this expensive of a clutch, or maybe you do.

I'm going to be making 600+whp so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need a clutch that nice. I was actually at a shop yesterday and they recomended that I look into it. Reason being is that they aren't as hard to daily drive as an ACT. As far as slicks go I'm looking at 26-27" slicks. Haven't decided for sure yet. It's a GSR 84mm sleeved block mated to an 00 SI tranny. Turbo PT67 turbo.

They do. They make the twin disk wich is street/strip ready. I've been told that's the one to go with. Hence the origional question. Should I spend the 1400+ for the exedy or the 1100+ for the tilton. Does anyone have experience with these clutches?

I don't know about using a lightweigt flywheel with a tilton clutch, seems a little sketch to me. Might shatter?

Anyways, good luck.

the tilton twin disk comes with the flywheel. it uses a chromoly flywheel and is rated for over 700 ft/bs of tq so i dont see any honda breaking that flywheel.
