I got a set of 550cc injectors and I want to clean them "internal" before I put them in the car. Can I use a ultrasonic machine to clean them? Is it safe or should I just leave them overnight in injector cleaner or both.
I just sent mine to http://www.witchhunter.com they did a really good job and had them back to me in < a week.
But hey if you have an ultrasonic machine, then more power to you.

Why, Is it a better dissolvent? remember i have them out of the car.

Hey by the way, there's someone in another post looking for a p13 m/t ecu.......i think its mck26 - he's running his h22 on a p14........should contact him.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thx for the lead.

Since no one else posted, I would pulse the injectors while they were in the ultrasonic cleaner, and I would use Chevron Techron Injector Cleaner as the fluid in the ultrasonic... as long as it didn't form into a flammable/detonable mist. I would only immerse about 1.5 centimeters in the Techron.
Edit: Forgot an important part
This is how I clean injectors, I dont care if you think it works or not I can see how they spray and if they work before I drop them in:
What you need:
Stock Fuel Return Line
Carborator Cleaner
Air Compressor
AA Battery
Injector clip from junkyard
Put the air compressor at the fuel pressure you run, ~40psi. Take the spare injector clip and attatch each wire to either side of the AA battery. This will cause the solenoid in the injector to open. With the injector clip and battery on slip the fuel return line over the top of the injector, fill the fuel return line with carborator cleaner, use the air nozzle attatchment to spray 40PSI of pressure through the injector.

I have a programmable lab power supply, that I programmed for 12 volts and 250 milliAmps maximum current That arrangment will safely simulate the driver for a peak and hold injector. I would bet that not too many folks have one. Just applying 12 volts will burn out the injector in short order. The power to a peak and hold injector must be current limited.
You could add a resistor in series with the injector and use 12 volts. Let me guess around 35 to 50 ohms would simulate my arrangment above. The on car hold currents are much higher, I believe. ... but didn't have the time to measure them for an exact simulation... so I set it up very conservatively, and it worked.

I apologize I left that part out refer back to my thread.
