Default Cleaning the Engine Bay With a Turbo

I would think that I wouldn't have to cover anything that wouldn't normally be covered. What do you all think?? What do you guys use when cleaning your engine bay/manifold/turbo??

Edit: I guess it would be wise to cover the inlet to the BOV-- As well as the wastegate?

use a heavy engine degreaser and a pressure washer, just be careful around any filters and open wires. i then use a leaf blower to dry to off and i havent had any problems yet

just cover up the airfilter...thats the only other thing that ide cover compared to a stock and turbo car(or car with just an intake)...bov and wastgate should be alright as long as you dont spray water directly into them(especially if its high pressure), i guess you could cover them up though, wouldnt hurt

You might want to also cover your distributor. If it gets wet on the inside the car is a bitch to start. I had to wait for an hour once.

Use simple green rather than the degreaser its less chemicals and it works very well. Or try both. good luck.

Just remermber that when you are using the simple green degreaser, that you engine is completely cool. Don't spray simple green on a hot engine.

uhm.. i would not use a pressure washer. unless your talking about those finky small ones.. (mines 3000psi) cause i would blow **** right off the engine.

leaf blower to dry it off.. hrm thats a good idea. cant u let it airdry though
