Re: Civic has turbo issues !
ok should i deep 6 the e manage and go to a chipped ecu or a piggy ? Please don't be critical. Give me some knowledge. The car is obd0 and I would like to keep it that way. Unless you can give me an idea of what it would cost to go to obd1.

Obd1 conversion usually dizzy alternator injectors and ecu. I would recommend a obd1 conversion and tune on something free and cheap like crome. S100 if you have enough money...you know because your mommy doesnt pay for everything. If you shop around and are good at soldering you can change it over for under a couple hundred easy.
Sounds like you need a sugaaaamomma!!!

I'm told if i stick with obd0. The 91 pm6 is my only option. Please tell me if this is true and how limited it is.

congrats, my mom doesn't pay for **** either but that didn't stop me from buying a top of the line turbo kit and spending over 1300 between three different professional tunes (soon to be on the fourth once I get my new kit going)

Re: Civic has turbo issues !
OBD1 chipped ecu's are the cheapest and easiest way to work. the OBD0 I have never personally messed around with but may be tuneable....not sure. I would start piecing together a OBD1 conversion kit and buy a cheap ecu that is OBD1 and chip it like the p06. You can go to an electronics store and get the resistors, caps, slot, and eprom chip and chip your own with a soldering gun after desoldering the board. If this interests you there are write ups everywhere and ill find one. Really OBD0 is not that great, but if you are in a money crunch I would google OBD0 chipping and see if it is possbile. Since you are turboed crome is free and would work great for someone to tune the car...or neptune or ectune....list goes on...all free

Re: Civic has turbo issues !
Yep I the op have brought this thread back from the dead. I have seen the error of my ways. I now converted to be obd1 . I have a p28 with obd1 dizzy and a Rywire conversion harness. I have just recently been working on the car again. I've added lots of new items it also has precision 650cc injectors, skunk2 alpha radiator, innovative mounts, innovative traction bar (so stiff) , Aem a/f gauge and sensor, and numerous other things. So yeah all the criticism worked. It just took a while to sink in.
