Default Chipped block - Should I repair or get another one? Pics...

So I picked up a B17 block that's got a chip in it. It's at the driver's side between one of the bolt holes for the mount, and the head gasket surface. A little piece of the outer head gasket is missing. Is it possible to weld material in to fill in the chip, retap the mount hole, and resurface the head gasket surface? I don't have the original piece of aluminum, and it's getting darton sleeves if it makes a difference.

So, is it possible to repair this and have it be just as reliable as a block with no chip in it? I want to run boost on it in the future, and don't want issues with it.

As cheap as blocks can be found, I'd just get another one.
