Default check valve

hi ive just done a search on turbo managment and ive seen ppl saying that the cheepest way to manage a turbo set up is fmu and in tank pump but i thout you need a check valve aswell
so do you need a check valve aswell or can you run it with out

you will need a check valve or missing link for the fmu to see boost pressure, therefore increase fuel pressure
