check valve is used when you are using the stock ecu with turbo,so your map sensor does not "see" the boost.yes if you dont have a check valve or missing link your car will run shitty

check valve= missing link..missing link is better than those aquarium like ones...if you are usin an afc you still need a check valve if your ecu is stock.your ecu is seeing the boost which it should not.and the tube you are talking about is it coming from the valve cover?

If you have larger injectors and are running the hack, provided you dont get a CEL when at full boost you dont need a check valve or missing link. Because the afc drops the voltage from the map to lean off the mixture (ecu wont see boost).

-If you are using the acf hooked up in the "HACK" setup then you don’t need a check valve. You will have to have larger injectors for this to work!
-If you have an FMU like the vortec unit than you NEED a check valve weather it be a missing link or one made from pieces at lowes. An afc can still be hooked up but not in the "HACK" configuration.
I only know of 1 hose off the intake and that goes to the VC, it needs to have a little filter installed on it at the LEAST. DO NOT HOOK IT FROM VC TO CHARGE PIPE!!
There is also an IntakeAirTemp sensor on the intake pipe that alot of people just leave hanging, what did you do with that?
