Looks great!!

I am sending my Endyn pistons off to Swain to get Moly and Gold coated....

-How much did you pay for all 4 pistons to get coated?
-What engine is that head for?
-What are the plans for this setup.....

11:1....damn.....I hope you have a good tuner

The moly coating on the side skirts (black) is a self lubricating polymer that will reduce friction and wear.

The gold coating on the top will reflect the heat of combustion away from the piston, instead of having the piston absorb the heat.

If the whole combustion chamber is coated, There will be less heat aborbed by the intake charge, and thus more power. This also allows people to run higher CR's safely.

Polydyn charges $128 for this (dry film on the sides and heat resisant on the top)

this head is for my b16a ported by GTP with full ferrea valve train, cams and roller rockers.. hopefully good for 10000 rpm at 25psi

I have read about the coating lasting more then 80,000 miles on a modded supra. It was using stock internals that were just coated. I think the article said he was running around 24psi at the track, and like 20 on the street.

Thats all I really know though about that setup.

Polydyn's # is 713-694-3296 my company has a pretty good relationship with them so we might be able to get your parts done cheaper then they would do retail.. they coat bearings and basicly anything else you can think of..

you can email me at brianb@gtp-racing.com, btw i can get all ferrea parts (and basicly anything else cylinder head oriented) at great prices!
