Default Check Engine light help needed ASAP

My damn car will not rev past 2000rpm. I checked the ecu for codes and I am not sure if I am reading them correctly. I think it is either a code 5-10-or 15. I think I am getting a code 15 though. What can this be. My car is running hondata S100 w/boost and 780cc injectors. The car is buring gas like mad and blowing black smoke like crazy. Someone help me out ASAP. I already tried a new map sensor but it made no difference. The car is an 2001 GSR with a fully built motor.

How to read your CEL.

Short the SCS connector located on the passenger side right above the ECU.

You can do this with your own tools or use Honda Part 07PAZ-0010100.

Turn the key to the on position.

The CEL should blink.

Long Blinks are the first digit.
Short Blinks are the 2nd digit.

For instance 4 long blinks and 2 short blinks would be a code 42.

As long as your own tool is insulated, and preferably a connector that fits, not a paper clip. Think about it. Do you really want to take a 3-inch piece of metal into a plush, carpeted area with few grounds, and connect it to the heart of your car's computer? On a dry day, you may destroy the computer instead of checking the error code. If you must use a paper clip, at least get a piece of heat shrink tubing, cut it about an inch shorter than the paper clip, center it on the clip, and light a match or lighter to shrink it. Or better yet, just shell out the 4 bucks for the 07PAZ-0010100!

Switch the plugs around sounds like you have them crossed which would throw both of those codes

They share the same plug and are in similar locations on the harness. It's very easy to get them mixed up of you don't know the wiring colors for each sensor or don't have the service manual

Everyone has done it more than once, I know I have. It's a fairly common mistake

Swap them around and see what happens
