Default cheap ebay turbo?

i was wondering if anyone has bought or is currently using one of those cheap turbo off of ebay. For a brand new t3/t4, it is going for about $250. Some of them even come with a 1 year warranty. I am on a budget build for my b18b1, and the price is hard to resist. Just need to know if its worth it.

I got one really cheap from a guy when it started leaking oil past the seals after three days of use. I sent it off to http://www.blaastperformance.c...build to get it fixed for $250, so I'll see how it works. From what I've seen and heard, the cheap ebay turbos are basically a coin toss as to whether it will work right or not.

nothing wrong with ssac turbos, as long as you run a oil restrictor they will last a good bit. besides... the price you would pay for one quality turbo that could fail just as fast you could of have bought 3-5 ebay turbos. so why not give it a shot?

check my past post search my name and look for my ssac turbo post... alot of good usefull post in that thread.

some of u mother f**kers are funny with ur we know it all but never tested just herd crap. don't matter what brand turbo u buy it all comes down to do u really know what ur doing cuz the same troubles u get with a cheap turbo also happens to an over the price turbo. just that some of you don't want to admitt it cuz 98% of the time it's something you did wrong to ur setup/tune, and then want to plaim it on a cheap part to show ur ignorance based on ur weak knowledge and commen since on doing thing right. i've installed and tune tons of these kits and the only true fact about the product is pay for a really good turbo manifold cuz theirs is not strong. any problems i've seen with these turbo and name brand is when customers done something wrong to there setup such as increasing extreme amount of boost on a really small exhaust or pushing the turbo out of it boost effenciency range or clog oil/return lines, improper cooling setup, poor design manifolds with the turbo housing vibrating against the engine block causing bolts to loosen and housing to crack. there a list of **** u people do wrong with any of these name brand kits. commen since is most people's flaw when setting up and installing these kit and **** goes wrong.
