This is currently the setting up im goin to hit my hp goal of 600hp in my GSR-T EJ8, This build will be a lil slow considering im a student at Wyotech at Blairsville, PA and money is a little tight. Im hoping to have this build done by the end of summer(September). Im tearing my block down friday afternoon as soon i get home from school. Im about to revisit the dyno after a bunch of upgrades, last year I made 486whp on pump gas, ran out of fuel. I added an 044 pump inline and ID1000s for a race gas tune, I'll stop at around 600whp.

You should reach your goal. nice set up as well.

 

Thanks Guys I will keep all you updated Jim Justice told me my block was capable of making 800hp with a few upgraded parts. . . That will be one day in the future Lol

 

Im also loooking for parts if you guys knw anyone selling anything posted above. . .I would appreciate if you guys kept an eye for me and pm me if you find any killer deals

 

why a 5 layer headgasket?

 

Because i cant use OEM headgasket on a 83mm bore . . .You can only use a OEM headgasket up to 82mm bore

 

all though i can go with a 3 layer cometic head gasket which i might do

 

or golden eagle.

Yeah you can certainly get a 83mm OEM head gasket from Golden Eagle. I'd stay far away from a 5 layer gasket.

You definitely have your work cut out for you, so I wish you the best of luck and good fortune. Make sure before you start "tucking" anything that you have replaced and repaired a lot of those rubber hoses. Some looked damaged and cracked. Others look very worn. There's no point tucking if you can't get those items repaired first.
