Default changed center section, now no boost.

I just swapped the center sections of my old turbo for a brand new one, and now i dont get any boost. I just dont understand this. The new turbo was difficult to spin, not hard, but it didnt just freely spin.

Any clues?

thanks
pat

did u put the gasket in between the compressor housing and backing plate? Also, if the turbo does not spin freely, u didnt install it right. When u set the housings on, u have to be gentle, and torque down teh bolts in an alternating pattern, like u have to do with lug nuts. Skipping this and just bolting it in going around the circle causes the housings to go on crooked, and possibly bend the compressor housing.
