Ok guys, I'll try my best to describe this. I tested all different options, chassis, engine harness, etc. And all checked out good with one exception. I stuck a paperclip in the back of the plug where the wires go. The plug that goes into the ecu. Without the ecu plugged in, still had only the iat and tps having continuity. With the ecu plugged in, had continuity to all the sensors. Is that normal? Does the ecu have to be plugged in to get continuity to all sensors? Could there be nothing wrong with the grounds and it just be the signal to the ect? That would explain why I'm not getting the map CEL.

The engine and chassis harness connect by the firewall on the very top on the drivers side correct? Then just test from sensor grounds to the end of the engine harness plug? Then if it has continuity there, test the chassis harness from the plug by the ecu to the end that plugs the engine harness to the chassis harness? If it's the engine harness, you can just take it out and tear into it and look for the break right?
no worries man, everyone has to learn somehow.
Yes to all the above.

attached is a picture of the wiring diagram for a 95 LS integra. it is identical for a 93 civic Si as well.
at top left, #32 is to pin d21, and #35 is to pin d22. the wire colors may or may not be correct, but the wiring is accurate. as you can see, d21 only goes to tps, iat, and ect, while d22 only goes to the map. inside the ecu there is a connection between d21 and d22. so yes, it is normal to not have continuity from d21 to the map sensor when ecu is unplugged, but do have continuity when ecu is plugged in.

So what you're saying does sound like you have a problem only with ect signal to the ecu. run the same continuity tests from the signal wire in the sensor plug to pin D13 on the ecu.

Last night I got looking really hard at the ect plug, and I think my signal wire is starting to come out of my plug. Like its barely holding on. But, I tried testing continuity on the wire itself because I can see some metal, and im still not getting continuity. My wires to the ect aren't red and white and green and white, they are solid black and solid dark green. Could it just be that wire on the connector? But I should be getting continuity from D13 to that part of the wire. I will take some pictures tonight and upload them.

Seems like you are getting somewhere, hopefully you get this issue resolved, check continuity at the plug and inspect the plug really good, most likely wire broken somewhere there due to and oil leak and heat, it happens, happened to my civic around 3 months ago car would not turn on when cold,

Where does the ect ground to? I would like to try and clean it if it is dirty to see if that helps. I seriously can't figure out what is wrong with this thing.

the sensor grounds to the ecu. the ecu grounds to the thermostat ground.

this is why I posted the wiring diagram, so you can see exactly what runs to where.

and yes, the signal wire should have continuity to d13, and the ground should have continuity to d21.

wire colors do vary from car to car, thats not of much concern. unless you have plugs switched somehow. you can also test IAT signal wire to d15, and IACV signal to A9, to make sure you don't have plugs switched around

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been posting, I have been super busy lately.

If all the signal wire strands aren't in plug, can that be the problem? Making it not read the correct voltage? Some stands are broken off and some are still in. Grounds are good, hopefully this is my problem.

signal wires don't need much wire. if more than half the strands are broken, yes that can be the problem. but if less than half the strands are broken, in my experience, everything should work fine

FIXED!

But now I have another problem.

I am so pissed I didnt figure this out sooner. The guys who had the car before me had the fan switch plugged into the ect and the ect plugged into the fan. How it ran perfectly fine is beyond me. No CEL anymore. The car fires up no problem now but sometimes it wont fire at all as if no spark. My dad touched the dizzy wiring while it was running and it shut off. The power wire comes right out of the plug. I am going to try running the power wire directly. a.k.a bypass the plug and just twist the wires together then tape them. Wish me luck it fixes it.
