Have you ever emptied it? They do need to be emptied over time if you dont have it setup to drain back into motor.

If it was never doing it before than look into your motors health, comp test and leak down. Maybe the catch can is just too small?

Or maybe your pcv system isn't well suited for your setup.

the catch can is about 1qt. and i have it drain back to the block. compression test result were 165-175 across. Pistons are arias 9:1. no leakdown test yet. i also have the valve cover breather plug to the catchcan too if that matters.

ok, i put a bigger catch can on and it doesnt seem to be spilling anymore. this new one may be up to 2qts. so its about twice the side of my other one. but the thing is that my other smaller one never over fill before until now. so There still got to be a problem right??

what is the setup? also i have seen that once the filters are wet, they spew all the time.

i had an issue where i lifted the head, and was pushing coolant. and with that i think passed some oil.

fixed the hg, cleaned the filters, and made 4 more passes no issues.

we need to see your complete setup.

I agree. If it's the ring lands the compression test can fool ya. Leak down test will show in yellow.....

an improper setup catch can will overflow, im not saying that the ringlands may or may not be the issue, but it is kinda hard to make calls like this without knowing all the facts.
