Default Cast Sidewinder on B18B Integra

I got the first cast sidewinder installed. I got it halfway street tuned last night, its still running pretty damn rich though. Its very quick though, even at 9psi. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Let me know what you guys think.

Collector looks goood.

turbo/mani/WG installed.

I bought some random radiator hose from oriellys and it fit great! I have the part #'s if anyone wants them.

The picture really doesn't show it, but I can change the VBand and have this as a side dump for the track. Pretty sweet!

On my garage floor . I need to move that today. I would have it moved except I need to buy longer hose.

What is the advantage to such a manifold?

main reason is to keep AC and still be able to have nice manifold. That is primarily the main reason.

at what RPM are you at full boost?

how close it is to your distributor?

how much power do you expect to make?

its so you can spool up faster. what else you could get a drag manifold to keep ac.

- This manifold should last longer than your car.
- The Welded sidewinder has been shown to spool up a T3/60-1 500rpm sooner than the SST! The Cast should provide similar, if not better spool up times.
- Because it's cast, the price is very reasonable.
- You can run a variety of WG's (38mm, 40mm, up to the 46mm).
- The turbo flange is also Tapped for a T3, or T4 turbo.

PM me for more info.

it's really not necessary for *you* to take it there becuz it's a little bias since Cody is your competetion. besides, we don't want this getting ugly.

if anyone should comment it should be ppl who Own a Sidewinder or a LoveFab manifold.

just my opinion, do as you wish

is there bracing on the turbo??? whats the filter setup look like???? looks good though...

Also that would be cool if there was an all metal upper rad. hose. it just seems that it would get very hot...any opinions on that???

I like it. Ease of turbo replacement, etc..

Although I'd still take the welded one over the Cast any day.

Still waiting on my Sidewinder/Downpipe, I'll have some pics once I get it

How is it going to spool up faster then the hand made unit when it doesn't have as nice of a collector??? Looks good but please be realalistic.

the sharp 90 into the turbo and the long arm both seem like they would hurt lag, especially when paired with one another.

we are working on a brace to be provided with the manifold, but for now, the customer must brace the turbo to the transmission housing.
The collector is based on my welded collectors, and thus far flows VERY well.
The main reason for producing this manifold was to take the load off on the welded units, because Im on the brink of locking orders again.
For filters you either have to get a VERY snubby mushsroom style filter, or use a few bends to go under the frame.
The upper radiator hose is a bitch, but we are working on a few solutions to this.

Seems like that collector is REALLY small to me. I dunno tho?

Cody garuntees these manifolds not to crack. I hit 8psi at about 3,800RPM on a t3/to4e and I hit 10.5psi at about 4,100RPM. I am hoping for 300whp at 11psi. Its about a foot away from my distributor.

94goldjungsr:
I'll try to take some more pics for you. I bought the line to do the coolant resivor today, but first I gotta replace my girlfriends lower control arm. The oil return is pretty easy, its just a straight 17" shot from the turbo.

Lastgsr:
I just used drag 3 piping and added ~20" extension onto the piping behind the intercooler, all I had to do was add one pipe, easy as hell.

I braced the turbo by buying a $3 3' piece of 1/4" steel and cut it to length and bolted it to the tranny. Took about 15 minutes. Pretty easy. Its not pictured by the way.

For my filter setup I just did pantyhose over window screen and clamped it down with a hoseclamp. This would be the easiest turbo install ever if I used a water to air cooler, It'd only require about 2 feet of IC piping! Expect to seem me with W/A in the future!

A few reasons I choose this manifold, Its adjustable where the pieces meet so you can place your turbo wherever you want (eliminates some fittment issues for some people). It also comes with a V-Band on the DP so you could basically swap this setup to any B-series car and have it fit right in. I also like how its not as flashy as the welded ones, in case someone wants to see under my hood, and it should flow better since there is no welds to disturb the airflow.

If anyone is questioning the turbo placement it allows a full 4+" DP and exhaust with A/C & PS.

Even if that collector looks small, it's pretty much the same size as the housing on the turbine. And the bend is pretty mild, I'll take some better pictures when I can.

EDIT: Here's a pic from one of Cody's posts to show the bend in the manifold.
