Carnage.......
Long story short, car made 349@14psi with the wastegate spring maxed out and then we took it off the dyno and I then went to drive home did one pull felt ****** awesome, then a sr20 s40sx with a fmic and exhaust pulled up next to me blowing off his blow off valve so i was like expletive it ill make a pull... went to make a pull with him and needless to say car didnt hit any boost, not even 1 psi so i was like wtf!!!! pulled over to the side of the road thinking a intercooler hose blew off and when i popped the hood i noticed the turbo intake wheel wasnt spinning at all.... Right then and there i was like expletive!!!. Got the car home in put it in the garage and there it sat over night until i got home from work today to play honda a little bit and work on it. When i took the turbo off the manifold I noticed the intake turbine wheel didnt have a reverse nut on it as you can see in the picture. I then wanted to see why it was locked up. So i un did the housing and saw the blades were fucked up so i then knew it ate the nut lol... When it chewed the nut it through the tolerances off and screwed the turbo up. Well i guess i got one hell of a paper weight?

Yea im gonna change the w/g spring prob tomorrow... Then hopefully get a new turbo next week and then get a retune for more boost obvisouly.

hey here comes the bus...........................
haha, i was trying to be a little less obvious but Tony1 will put your *** on front street
yeah to me the raised fins on the backing plate, goofy oil inlet and outlet, and exhuast side definetley give it away that it was a knockoff turbo, and from what i have seen "S-FAB" does sell some ebay turbokits with a manifold swap

Well i'm not into the lieing business. So if you have a question, ask.
The turbo used on Jason's setup is a SSAC t70.
Jason asked, "Brad, what do you reccomend for my setup and what have you used."
I told Jason, I used a SSAC T70 on my 84mm LSvtec and made 367whp @ 10-11psi.. Then switched to a expensive Turbonetics 62-1 w/ polished cover and .63 ar turbine & stage5 wheel.
I told him ive tried all brands and several sizes. Your best bet is to start cheap, if it doesnt work. Upgrade.
HE went with a SSAC t70.
If you have a problem with it, so be it. Cry about it.
hehe

That's the exact opposite advise i give my customers. With the time and money he's out, he could have bought a GT turbo to begin with and not had to deal with this crap.
I like to think most people learn the lesson, do it right the first time, after a mistake or two like this.

Re:
as I have said before in threads talking about these turbo's, it not the first time I have seen one of these do this exact thing. some thought I was exaggerating or just being a dick... guess I knew what I was talking about afterall.
sorry to hear about what happened to you though... especially with the 240 wanting to be a ricer and rev at you... that would suck. worse is you basically wasted the money on it and now have to buy another turbo... ssac FTL once agian.
hopefully your going to buy a quality turbo this next time around.
