Default car wont start, need help please

hey guys,

i've been on the search for about an hour now, and have not found an answer yet....so im asking for help.

my car doesn't start, and i'm not getting any spark... but there's a bigger story behind it. I did a compression test. I did the usual steps before the test, take off the ecu fuse, take off fuel injector clips, take out all spark plugs, etc. I get 180 across the board, and i put everything back together. my friend sits in the car and puts it in gear. Me, not knowing, i start the car and it jumps a few feet and the car shuts down. I then throw the car back in neutral and try to start the car, and nothing happens. my fuel pump is priming, i think i'm getting fuel cause i smell it. I checked for spark, and i'm not getting anything. What do you think happened? did the launch knock my timing out of place? or is my distributor crapped out? its getting late, and its really cold out, so i came inside to get some answers. Please help! i'm lost

trace the ignition from the wires to the distributor cap and rotors

maybe wait few minutes and try it again? main relay?

checked main relay. Car was running perfect before compression test. im wondering if the car can jump timing off that wicked launch when i thought the car was in neutral?

thanks alot...ill try the coil today. i just didn't see why the car would jump after the the compression test...which is a sign the car was gonna start...so the coil wasn't bad at the time? i'm confused?

yeah dude, definately. i've done compression test like hundreds of time before....and finally messed this one up by not unplugging the wire....that or the distributor was already on its way to death....and i kinda pushed it over the edge.
