really there has to be something not hooked up right or the wastegate is stuck open either way I would check the wastegate and check for leaks in the piping and intercooler. if you have pics of the setup we might be able to see something or point something out that you are missing.

Re: car wont boost??? (ej8_fredi)
it has to be ur wastegate bro! i have a boosted D series myself right now and i had the same problem one point and i found out it was the wastegate ring... there is a ring in there that seals it where it meets the mani and if you have an external that is what it is... check that ring and flip it if you have it wrong

for low boost (if your wastegate spring is whatever psi and your wastegate looks like a tial 38mm) - plug a vacuum source into the bottom of the gate (yeah, the nipple closest to the flange on the bottom)
for medium boost (like double what your wastegate spring is supposed to hold) - unplug the gate
for high boost (don't recall, but I think it's double w/e your medium boost if I'm correct) - hook up a vacuum source to the top of the gate
so a vacuum source would be running a vacuum line off the nipple where your pcv valve is hooked up to on your intake manifold (Don't worry, your pcv valve is useless when it sees boost anyway, so just unplug it) to your wastegate (No "check" valve needed).
I had that same problem when I first boosted my car. I hooked the wastegate up wrong lol and never hit boost for about a couple hours, then I figured out why: I had run a vacuum line from the nipple on top of my throttle body into my wastegate. Little did I know, the nipple on the top of my throttle body was NOT a vacuum source.

Re:
I totally forgot about the ring in the bottom of the wastegate. I bet if you take it off and look at the valve seating you will see a gap. in your kit you should have gotten a small ring that is placed up under the valve to seal it. check that and let us know.

If you're not going to post something relevant don't post at all. OP has a legit question, and your post suggesting that this thread is dumb or annoying further proves my point that you're spamming.
Go away.

From what I've heard, and Ebay kit can work well, but you just gotta work the problems out, and prepare for potential ones. Good luck man

why would you take out the spring??
That would mean your wastegate would open when it sees any positive pressure....so no boost there.
and to BiggieBert, you plug a vacuum line into the wastegate so when it starts to boost, it will hold pressure. Pressure from the manifold going to the wastegate = boost.
wastegates that are functioning properly and plugged in will always see vacuum until the turbo spools up.

that won't solve your problem.
it just proves you're weak and dont deserve to modify a car.
if you took some pics we could prolly get it fixed in a couple minutes.

**** happens when you make an engine produce more power over stock. It's just a rule. No matter how well you build it, something always breaks. You gotta just deal with it.
Also, use photobucket.
