Car Stumped........Please help!
I know this isnt really FI, but since this is mainly the only forum I go in and has the most knowledge, Ill give it a shot here.
I finally got my motor back together and in the car, and when I go to try to start it, all it does is crank.
I checked:
-spark = good
-fuel delivery = good
-main relay = good
-grounds = good
-distributer = ok i guess but im still gettin spark. Installed correctly.
-CEL = none
I pulled the plugs, and they are covered in fuel.
Compression test = 120, 120, 120, 130 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WTF, im stuck. I have nothing else to check. The motor is new, head just resurfaced, new head gasket, ect ect. ARP studs torqued to 80 lbs.
How in the hell can my compression be so low and so consistant? What am I missing?
Thanks
BTW, I pulled an all nighter searching archives and found nothing that matches my case.
This is a golden eagle b18c with 10:1 compression pistons.

if timing belt is off 1 tooth, will it cause my compression to drop consistantly in all cylinders like that?
Can the comp numbers be so low because they are forged pistons and the car was cold?

New rings wont yeild good compression numbers until theyre seated/broken in.
Do you have the plug wires in the right firing order?

Yeah, if you timing is not lined up on the flywheel right you'll get real low compression on the check. Check your flywheel alignment against everything else. If that's not it then sorry but good luck.

Let me brainstorm on this. First off there is no adjustment to the flywheel, you bolt it on and you go. There is no "set" position that would indicate a "zero" mark with the flywheel.
I would guess right now that you dont have the valves adjusted correctly. If the valve lash is off, you could be bleeding off air on the compression phase of the cycle and not getting super strong compression numbers. If all the valves would need an adjustment, then you would be getting low compression numbers on all cylinders. If you had a ring problems, you certainly wouldnt have even numbers like that across each cylinder. Trying adjusting the valves to the middle of the factory spec, then try turning it over. I think you'll have a pleasant surprise if you do.

All valves are good to go. I lost count of how many times I checked it.
My sparks are different colors so I think thats one of my problems. I re-did the timing belt and still same. I really want to turn the cam gears back to 0 instead of retarded 2, but it should be retarded since I milled it.
