Car is stalling
Have an '00 LS turbo. When we did the turbo, my friend removed the coolant lines to the IAC, and it caused horrendous idle problems. Kept cleaning the IAC and checking vacuum leaks without knowing that the lack of coolant to the TB was causing the IAC to stick. That was fixed about 5 months ago, and the car has idled fine since. But last month, the car started randomly stalling.
At say a stoplight once in a while, the car just shuts off. It will be running perfectly fine, and it will just shut off. Restart it, and the car runs fine. Sometimes while coasting to a stop, the car will stall also. And if we don't drive the car for 4-5 days, the car will have a really hard time starting. It will start, but run really, really rich, and I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running. When this happens, vacuum is at maybe 10 psig. Afer a minute or two, the car will run normally and vacuum will go back to it's normal 20 psig. This rough idle happens sometime after the car stalls out too, then the car is normal again.
It's not throwing any codes, and I've pulled the IAC to clean and inspect it, and it seems to be fine, but I'm not really sure what a bad IAC looks like. Nothing on the car's setup/engine has changed since we did the turbo. I'm leaning toward a bad IAC only because the car only does this when the rpms are below 1K and I'm off the gas. It won't stall under power. Sorry for the long post, this issue is driving me crazy. Nothing like taking a turn and all of a sudden the power steering is gone, and you realize that the car is stalled.

Re: Car is stalling (AP-Signworks1)
Need info on your setup to find problem.
What kind of injector are you using?
What ecu program are you using?
What plugs condition are your plugs?
What is your compression?
Sounds to me like you have a stock LS so I would say right now you blew your ring-lands. But less have a little more info please.

Re: Car is stalling (CRX T-Si)
It's a stock LS, stock injectors, just FMU and missing link, T3 turbo. It's only running 5psi, and the car only has 43K on it, turbo setup has been on for 10K or so. It's my wife's car, and she's hardly ever in the boost. Any reason to suspect the ring lands on a setup as mild as this?
I haven't done the compression test yet since the problem began. I'll try to get that done this weekend.
Last week when I checked, the plugs were in good shape. No signs of abnormal wear or anything.
