Car Is Running Waaaaay Too Rich (Jrsc B16a)
Just wondering if anyone has any idea why my car is runnig so rich. Stock Feul Pressure, Stock feul pump, Stock injectors, The only thing new is the jr fmu. Plugs are very black, Stumbles before boost, wont hold an idle, somtimes the plugs are just covered in gas and it wont even run on 4 cyl. Billows black smoke out the exhuast. Any ideas? Thanks.

Stock disc I beleive it is a 5 to 1 . Everything else feul related is stock. I would think if any thing i would be running too lean, But it is soooo rich.

Try picking up the JR Map controller. Lower the FP, see what happens. Mine used to run really rich with all stock stuff too. My recomendation is to junk the JR FPR and get Aeromotive.

Ive heard that the jr fmu is junk, but i would think that it should work well enough to get my car drivable. right now if i just push in the clutch for a second the car will die. ive checked every where for vacum leeks and cant find any so im blaming the idle problems on too much gas. the plugs are wet and smell like gas when you pull them out. If the jr fmu sucks that bad why the hell do they even bother giving it to you with the kit.

Heres what I would do: Tie wrap the by-pass valve open so that the car does not build any boost. Then dis-connect the vacuum line to the JR FMU and plug the line to the manifold. If the car does not run as normal( as it did before the JRSC install then the FMU is bad or needs adjusting. They are supposed to come adjusted so it might be bad.
You can also get a fuel pressure gauge and check it. should be at stock psi numbers when not on boost(idle).

Stock fuel pressure -- what is the static value? Are you using a adjustable FPR? What is the fuel pressure of the JR FMU? Sounds like you're running extremly rich. Check your timing.

I Have two different sets one stock ngk, and ngk colder plugs, they were brand new i clean them with a wire brush in between every start and they are black every time i start it , i can clean them so they look brand new, start the car for 30 seconds check the plugs and they are black and wet.
