Car just died today...
Well I've had the turbo out for a couple days and the car was running fine until today. I was on the freeway and it just died. Wouldnt start again. Tries to turn over but cant. Its in the shop right now and I'm just wondering what the hell went wrong.

sad
Maybe it just really loved the turbo and could stand to live without it
For real though, I hope that you get it up and running again. You selling any of your parts?
email me at dwon1@uic.edu if you are selling anything.

Re: sad (wonny)
does it turn over at all?
do you get spark from the plugs?
does it have gas?? (yes, dumb but wont mention times it's happened to people i know)
plugs look ok?
compression test ok? (prividing it will even spin over)
anything come loose? battery cable? Fuses are good?
any lines pinched?
fuel pump, check that ....
just some suggestions.

Re: sad (GSRwBOOST)
Its the timing belt. Car only had 77k miles on it so I dunno why the timing belt gave so early. Anyhow...what kind of damage can happen because of this? I believe the valves could have been daamged in the process.
