Can't use tabs for i/c...anyone just have it held up by the piping?
Mine *seems*sturdy as it's held up by a lil plastic lip on the bottom of my bumper and it's pressed between the bumper and frame pretty good. But I get nervous thinking about driving and going over some bumpy roads. There is no space to weld a bolt for the tabs. It's stuck in there pretty good...but with enough force I can see it falling out...is anyone's i/c here like this? I have some zip ties on it for extra insurance.

I welded some tabs on one once, and bolted it to the bumper support.
Imho, if it's not bolted down, it's going to move, and moving is bad!

What I did was use some metal that I "L" shaped and bolt one side to intercooler tabs, the L then bent sorta behind the intercooler and I was able to drill holes in the rad support (actually there were two holes already there I just had to make bigger) and bolted the other side of the L bracked to the rad support (vertical support on sides)

I have seen people use ZipTies with good luck but I always feel better using some sturdy tabs bolted to the frame. I would not suggest letting the CAC pipe connectors support the weight of the CAC while doing their usual job.

I would not trust the weight of an intercooler on the piping. Just get some tabs welded on and bolt it to a solid support. Take your bumper off, and look around, just got to be a little creative ot get things to work.

Well it has tabs on it..but they're bent all the way down for it to fit. I can't weld anymore tabs onto because I dont have the right gas/wire for aluminum. I think tomorrow I'm going to weld some flat steel right under it.

good call man.
I'd hate to have the thing hanging by it's piping.

You could always take a piece of metal strapping and secure it to the tab(s) and either drill a hole in the bumper support or just loop it around the support and run a bolt through it.
