Default cant adjust fuel pressure below 42psi?

sup guys , i was just wondering the reason for this , the fpr is a B&M , rail is GE , injectors are rc440's and fuel pump is a walbro 255. i adjust it all the way out and the lowest it goes is 42 , is that normal?

On the Endyn site, Larry did a mod to the stock FPR allowing it to get the pressure lower. I think the stock unit is too small to flow anything less. I could be wrong but that is my understanding.

Since the B&M unit uses the stock regulator guts, you can only increase pressure with it...there isn't much if any room to lower it.

After installing my walbro, my static fuel pressure jumped from about 40 to 52psi. I couldn't turn it down below that. I drove like that for about a week, then I bought an Aeromotive FPR and installed it with my AEM rail and Fast-Turbo lines. Now I have a fully adjustable regulator, running 38 rail psi with my walbro and 550's.

Same problem here. I thought it had to do with the increased flow of the pump.

ya i wasnt sure , i had an aem fpr before but when i put the GE rail on it uses a 92-95 fpr , so i had to barrow a friends and sold the aem . with the aem i had my fpr down in the 30's , but now the lowest is 44 and i think its causing starting problems , my car floods too fast on startup . which aeromotive did you go with i want to do the same thing.

From 43 psi to 25psi. I used a slightly larger bit than suggested. .048 was the smallest I had.

mines at like 44 right now , and i think its causing my car to flood too quick on startup , when my cars warm , sometimes it wont start and i can smell fuel , any idea what that could be

i used a 1/16 bit... (.0625") it is too big. it drains the fuel to fast, even when priming the car at startup i have 0psi. although it starts fine.. i had to up the fuel pressure to 50psi to keep the injectors happy.

You can order tiny bits from McMaster.com. I bought three bits for doing the Endyn Mod. I already bought an Aeromotive FPR though. If anyone wants, I can send them one of the tiny bits to do the endyn mod in an envelope...all I ask is that you pay me like a dollar. The bits were about $2 each if I remember correctly.
