cannot feel vtec
I have a vafc on my lude but lately I don't think my vtec have been turning on, its kind of hard to tell becuase i'm boosting but how could I check if its working, bk i think that maybe the vafc is not working since i bougth it used of a guys that lately has been doing some shady stuff in his shop. but how could i test it?

I've been thinking about this too cause now my turbo GSR's crossover is too smooth. Plus I wanna test out and make sure that x-over is being set at the correct RPM point. I was thinking about hooking up a test light to see when my VTEC comes on.
Would a small lightbulb with one wire going to the VTEC wire and the other wire going to a ground work for a test light?

yes that will work i plan on doing the same cuz im having the same worrys except mine is a SOHC so you cant feel it anyways but now with the open wastegate i cant hear it either

As far as the cable what is the color that I could put a test ligth to? And how do you clean the vtec solenoid do i just loook inside of it and use degreaser or what?

I dont rememeber the color of the wire, but there should only be the one wire that goes to your VTEC solenoid. AFAIK during VTEC x-over this wire gets a 12V signal from the ECU when the right conditions are met.

ok I cheked the cable and i am getting a 12v signal and I gave a 12v signal to the solenoid and it did click but still cannot feel the vtec or hearing or notice any difference when i get to the rpm when its suppose to engage
