can you tell me what turbo this is PLZZZ??
after blowing my 14b and 16g,im broke as hell(what a surprise right?lol),but i need to get a new turbo because my car is driving like a tank and its just god awful..so at this point,im just looking for a turbo to get me back to boosting.
found this cheap and local,and am wondering if i can use it..
right now i have a 1g dsm housing,but this turbo also comes with the housing designed for it.will it bolt up to tdo5?
can anyone tell me what kind of turbo this is?
any interswappability between this turbo and a 14b/16g?
any other info you can give me would be great as well.i would like to know as much as i can about it.
any info given will be much appreciated.

Its a dsm t25, proprietary flanges, missing the wastegate actuator, studs broken off and compressor wheel looks like hell. save your self the trouble

will it fit the 1g dsm housing that my 14b was in??Id really like to use the housing i had for the 14b,since i have the internal wastegate welded shut to use an my external wastegate.will a 14b compressor housing fit on this?i also have my 14b compressor wheel(good condition) i could swap,is that possible?
the guy says no shaft play,spins freely.ill be sure to check before i actually get it off of him.i know what to look for,i really just need to know if it will work with what i have..

I don't think that will work. You're trying a little too hard to bastardize a turbo setup.
Can you just put a header on your car and go N/A till you have some extra money? Hell a used 16g can't be more than $200.

OK,well if this really is a DSM t25,it is a from a 2g.according to some members on dsmtuners.com,they are a direct fit between 1g o2 housing.in fact,the t25 is a little smaller than the 14b,so it will fit perfectly,many DSM guys are doing it apparently(mostly people who have blown their 14b like me).
Now all that's left is for me to inspect the condition of the turbo.
Another thing I am wondering is if this t25 uses a vband,because I can't tell from the pics.

well i ended up getting the turbo off the dude..he didnt know a damn thing about it,so i was left to find out for myself.the turbo itself spins freely.its in pretty good condition.i can tell its really old though...
i did a BUNCH of experimenting,and damn near drove myself insane getting this on my car..
turns out a garrett t25 is from a 2g.
this one came with the 2g housing.
it did not work with my 1g housing that i used for 14b/16g.at all.theyre not the same in the slightest bit,so i just welded the wastegate flapper shut and used the 2g housing,which bolted up perfectly to my mani(they have the same mani flange bolt pattern.)
the downpipe housing was also interswappable between the 1g/2g housings.
i didnt want someone in the same situation to end up with false information,so there ya go.now we all know.
and,if anyone wanted to know further about it,NOTHING,and i repeat NOTHING is interswappable between the two turbos.
other than that,the gt25 feels only slightly weaker than a 14b.it also spools almost instantly.

the turbine housing is machined differently for the turbine wheel, however the t25 turbine housing should bolt up to the 1g/2g manifold, as 1g and 2g 4g63s had the same turbine inlet flange

But the winter time, MAN!! These bad boys were AWESOME!
But I was glad I sold it when I did. the subsequent owner dropped a valve into number 3 piston a year later.
