this is my take on it.... anyone else want to add to it, be my guest
tip in detonation is a problem that happens when you start to give it throttle really fast... so fast that your injectors cant keep up for the split second....
its an issue that most people refer to solving it with an "accelerator pump" meaning that when you tip in your throttle more than a preset desired amount, the injectors will throw fuel in, so this detonation will not occur...
simple terms.
the time it takes for the air to enter the engine when you slammed the throttle open, the computer hasn't reacted quickly enough to supply the right amount of fuel..... lean.....detonation
it can be tuned for with most systems, but most kit based turbo kits its hard to get rid of without the stand alone...
