Re: can i run 10lbs??? (ridnmyhonda)
ok.. building a custom setup.. very similar to rev hard 2c kit... i talked to the guys at revhard and they said a b16a2 stock can run up to 14psi without damage. and like 11-12 psi daily no problem..(any one doing this???)
my setup
t3/t04e .57 trim .63 a/r
revhard steel (w/ac) mani
revhard 2.5" downpipe
spearco fmic (core) 20x8x3
tial 35mm wastegate with .65 bar
2.5" chargepipes
blitz bov
warlboro 255lph pump
RC 440 injectors
vafc
avcr
victor x intake mani
k just wondering if 10lbs with the hack is ok.. can the hack handle 10lbs with this setup>??

Re: can i run 10lbs??? (kenbdSi)
I'm running 8.5lbs on my stock B16A2 and that is as far as i want to push it. I know alot of people say 10lbs is fine or maybe even more, but when you almost double your HP how much more can the motor really take? I have seen many motors blow at 8-10lbs and if it doesn't i think you are really reducing the life of the motor. Just my .02 cents.

Re: can i run 10lbs??? (BoostedSi)
I'm not worried about tuning, i'm worried about the actual strength of the piston rings/lands under the higher cylinder pressure. I have seen alot of them crack and i don't think tuning has to do with that. If there is a hole in the piston or it has melted i would say you needed to tune it better. I may be wrong, but that is how i see it.

I'm running 10psi on my GSR motor with a SMC and 450s. Its putting down 330whp. As stated above, wideband is the key. You can't guesstimate when your running that close to the edge. Good gas also, I wouldn't run 10psi if all you can get is 91 octane.
