PLatinum plugs are generally better for granny cars. Cars that are not real performance oriented, cars that go longer between tune ups. Resistor types usually perform better but need to be changed more often. I am not sure why so I have nothing but personal experience to back it up.

I always used to use Autolite but I'm running NGK now and they do fine also.
