Default Cam timing issue

I have a crower stage 1 cam in my d16z6 turbo. Currently my timing is advanced 22 degrees, its advanced that far because at this setting the car was stalling out at idle on the stock timing settings. I was wondering if anyone is using the same cam with your turbo set and what your timing is set at.

oh if this helps, my set up is, 92-95 greddy turbo kit, using the blue box for fuel management, a dsm side mount intercooler and turbo xs type s bov. I'm boosting at 8 lbs.

Do you mean your cam timing or ignition timing is 22 deg advanced. These are to different things. If you cam timing is that far advanced and it runs then you are measuring something wrong.

I believe he means ignition timing. Most cam gears only give 8-10.,
