Cam gears with stock LS cams

I am debating wether to buy adj. cam gears for my LS engine project. When I did my b16a turbo I used cam gears and used them to dial out some of the overlap out of the stock cams...gave a significant increase in power (10 at the wheels I believe). I know that the stock LS cams dont have much, if any overlap compared to the Vtec cams. Would adj. cam gears be worth my while buying for my stock LS cams?

I made over 30WHP with cam gears tuned, I did my base line pull with them set at 0,0 - boosted 18PSI - then started fooling with the gears and made a significant power gain, especially top end. PS i was running a copy of a crower cam with higher lift, but should still apply to stockers.
