that call for help
post after post ive read up on FI builds. but since im still a newbie at this ive got to ask. the motor is a 91ls...who knows how many miles...ive putting a turbo kit together and im getting close to that time of putting it on. ive got the motor running good with no cel. i plan on adding oil cooler to make myself feel 'better' about running the turbo. i plan on boosting 6lbs stock, if you all think it would be fine. then after im able to fresh up the motor ill boost more. ps - the fuel manage now is just temp untill i can get hondata. my goal is just to get it boosted and running as smoothly as possible with afc hack. tips/tricks would be helpful, treat me like a kid on this one so ill feel better about the setup.
questions:
a. what exactly would be the best way to prepare the motor for boost. ie. what spark plugs/wires? should i replace rod bearings/piston rings?
b. fuel management will be s-afc, 12:1fmu, inline fp, 440 injectors. - ive read to retard the timing so it will be 'safer'. can i just retard the timing with the dizzy, or must i use adj. gears? if i can just use the dizzy exactly how much should i retard?
the kit is basically a drag kit but ill run a tial wastegate. ill add more questions as they come...

if you run 440 injectors with a 12:1 fmu..thats alot of gas.i forgot the numbers and how to calculate it but look into a 4:1 or a 6:1..then again,i dont htink you need a fmu if you are going to be hackin
