The Car Gods have been good and bad to me :( :)
My dart motor finally arrived
For ***** and giggles
Now for the bad news.
the place i orderd my rods from mistakenly sent me the wrong ones , another bump in the road.. a small one but another.
I also had to replace my order for my pistons.
But hopefully my car will be back in a few weeks..
Ive been without it for about a month and a half.

Bumps in the road are always expected when doing a build. Mine has been going on for 8 months now and I've encountered many bumps in the road and it should finally be finished this weekend. Your car will be up and runing in no time. Good luck.
Btw, nice block.

Damn, looks good Jordo, can't wait to see how much power you make with it.
Ha, you think 1 and a half months being down is bad, some people don't finish their projects for years. . .

Re: (j boy)
When I was looking into the prices for the Dart block from Darton I was told that it would run around $2,000 for just the block and shipping was going to be about another 80 or so. not to bad of a price.
there was only one down fall to the motor when I was looking at it when it first cam out and that was the water jackets where smaller than stock and they where having cooling problems but I have heard that they made them bigger now and should be good to go. I have been thinking about getting one now.
good deal man. hope everything works out for you.

Re: (BoostedEG6)
Congrats bro!!! What are the specs of this block and what are the main advantages of having a dart block compared to a properly sleeved B-series block?? What crank, rods, and slugs are you gonna use?? Good luck with the project bro; from a fellow ITR owner!

Is that the Tall deck block? Looks like it to me, I could be wrong though. I see they have a 212mm deck height and 226mm deck height block.
Also to the quesion about internals, on the standard deck height block you need to get your own, rods, pistons, crank and squirters for this block. This is a BARE BLOCK with only main caps, the restyou supply! Nice block though. I have seen them in person, a friend has an 84.5mm bored GSR stroke Dart block standard deck height with a JRSC kit and he made 285whp plus he sprays it. 1/8 mile times 7.50 so far!

HMMM! It just looks like it has a deckplate or is a tall deck block. I must be just used my lil ole short deck short stroke B16A blocks!
