Default bye turbo?...

i've been thinking that i should go the n/a way. i've worked my *** off all summer to get $$$ for my custom turbo kit. when i look at it, going turbo is going hard because i only get about 500 a month. im only 16. i've been thinking about going ls/vtec now. will the price for the ls/vtec be far less then the custom turbo? or should i stick to going turbo?

Why not look into making your own custom turbo kit if you have the time.. Thats what I did and didnt spend all that much money..

How do you feel about having your entire paycheck go towards parts and all your time going towards fixing ****.

Turbo = headache & $$$

Leave it stock.

Leaving it stock does leave you less worries. Things, I assure you, will go wrong either way. This and that will start going out and with only 500 bones a month, you'll be riding the bus to school on frequent occassions. Trust me from my own experience when I was in high school. I remember when I first installed my drag kit on my Type R, it was down for about a month leaving me car-less. I had to be dropped off every morning by my mom and damn was that embarrasing at the time. Take my word, have more money or just stay stock.

Sell the 00' integra. Buy and 89 Civic, and work with that. You'll have plenty left to build a reliable, fast car whichever choice you make. Also, it's a bad idea to learn on a car that's still worth a decent amount of $$$$ IMO.

edit: or something "like" an 89 Civic. Maybe a 92'...

Your best option.. If you blow the motor in your racecar you can still drive to work and make money to fix it..

If you only have 800 and you don't have a constant flow of money then go in a different direction. It doesn't sound like you can make a ton of cash so I would just stay stock and save up. Or you can just finish up your schooling, go work in the real world and make a reliable flow of money then go turbo. For now I just think your too young, but thats a personal opinion, Its your money.....

You just don't have enough right now.

****, it'd be easier making what he makes at McDonalds than making what I make at a medical company and having a woman in the mix. She talks about my car like it's some female that I'm paying more attention to than her. Don't get me wrong...I'd have it no other way, but be sure and get your toys before you get locked in with a female...

I dont think that you have enough cash to do anything. Just get some nice wheels and call it a day, until youre older.

tuning cars is always expensive, no matter what route you go. in general though... you get more power w/ FI for the money... but you got to pay more attention to details. NA cars need a lot of cash to make them really go... but the general consensus is that they don't require as much attention. so save up some more $$ and really think about what u want.
