Default built b16 or a gsr boosted

allright i got a stock b16a1 and i just boosted it with a t3/t04 turbo, and it just feels slow, turbo doesnt spool till around 5500/6000 and dogs till it kicks in, i raced a newer z28 and he just pulled hard 1st and 2nd and then i started to catch up and ended up passing him, but thats a stock z28

so heres the question, should i keep the turbo kit and build the b16 or do u think it will be better to ls/vtec it sense i already have the head, or i was thinking about buying a gsr so i can have a little more torque or power to spool the turbo so it kicks on sooner

also, out of them which one will be a cheaper upgrade?

ls/vtec or a gsr..between the two.. i would go with the gsr
less time.. money.. and headache
unless you into building engines and such..

what is your setup exactly

You sure you don't have a leak somwhere?

5500/6000 rpms when it starts to spool doesn't seem right.

What is the specs on the turbo?

I vote build the B16, that's what I did, couldn't be happier with it, and stock Z28's don't pull on me in any gear.

well im not exactly positive i have a leak somewhere its possible, is there a way to check it and ill get the specson the turbo tommorrow, i bought it off my buddy alil while back after her sent it out to get rebuilt and forget the exact specs, should i lower vtec a little bit and see if that helps spool it better i think its set at 5200
